We are a group of six, 2nd Year BA ( Hons) Art Management students studying at London South Bank University organising a  Poetry Slam featuring 20 young and emerging poets, in aid of World Poetry Day  2014.

 

Over a period of six months we , as a team have raised the funds needed for this event through a number of fundraising activities:

 

• 5 mile Sponsored walk along the Thames crossing 3 bridges

• 2 Krispy Kreme sales at University 

• Sponsorship from 02 Think Big to go towards the poets hospitality and general well being on the night

 

Our poets have been selected because they are young and emerging so that we can give them some exposure, but we also want to provide an opportunity for those who are new to poetry to experience it ,so what better place than on a boat!

 

Thank you for your support so far, the funds raised has enabled us to secure the venue, provide hospitality for our artists, cover our advertising and marketing costs and keep the ticket pricing down to a minimum. But there is still an opportunity for you to support this event, it's still not too late!
